"Working Class Hero"28 February 2008 21:00 - 29 February 2008 21:00 Concept, realization: Oleg SoulimenkoWith appreciation to: Judith Helmer Thanks: Lisa First, Bob and Kathie Goodal, Vance Gellert, Martin Jandl, Nathalie Koger, Bettina Kogler, Jan Machachek, Julia Muralter, Peter Panayi, Vetscheslav Senigov, Olga Jurievna Sorokina, Dan Spock and ttp WUK Vienna based Russian performer and choreographer Oleg Soulimenko works from the stereotype of the "Working Class Hero" with glamour and wit. He poses the question: Is an artist really so far away from a worker? To address this friction, Soulimenko has created a hypnotism-show on the stage. Working with numerous small gestures and tableaus vivantes he questions his given place in the whole. The show becomes a celebration of the Working Class Performance Artist Both evenings there will be an after-party with DJ Vanille Putin - "Working Class Music" Bring your air guitar and air percussion set!
